Step 4 - Creating and Saving Cloaked Pages

Step 4 - You will now create your cloaked page. First, choose between Normal and Secure in the pull down menu for the page type. 

I always use Secure... unless I am submitting the finished cloaked page to a search engine.

In other words - The only reason I ever choose Normal is if I am submitting the finished cloaked page to a search engine. Otherwise I always choose secure.

If you choose "Normal", this is what your html code will look like.

... this is what your html code looks like. They have to scroll down and right to find the link (if they can figure it out) and then all they will see is a jumble of hexadecimal code!

Regardless of which option you choose (Normal or Secure), you then click the "Create Page" button.

A save file box with open. When you installed the program it created a folder on your hard drive called "Cloaked pages". This is the default directory to save your pages. The page name it fills in is the one you entered in Step 2. DO NOT try to change the page name here! 

Click the Save button or, if you want to change the page name, hit "Cancel" and go back to Step 2 and type in a different name for the cloaked page.

You can, if you wish, change the directory where you save the pages. This is especially useful if you want to cloak all the pages in an ebook and save them in the same file folder. Just remember that the most recent file folder you save a page to will become the default file folder until you change it again.

If, for some reason, you already have a cloaked page with that name and want to save it in the same directory as the previous page the program will warn you.

If you want to overwrite the page then click "Yes". If you want to change the name to something else without overwriting the page then click "No" and then go back to Step 2 and change the name of the file there. Then go back to this Step 4 and click "Create page" again.

Once you have successfully created and saved a page, the program will give you a confirmation box like this to show you that the page was created and where it was saved.
