What About the "Status" Bar at the lower left of the Internet Explorer web browser? I've never seen any cloaking device or technology that hides the affiliate information there.
I think I can see an affiliate ID on a ClickBank order page.

Can I use Affiliate Link Cloaker for more than one link?
You can cloak each and every one of your affiliate links, upload the pages that cloak each affiliate link
to your website, and then replace those "naked" affiliate links you
display on your web page, in your emails, newsletters, ebooks, etc. with the cloaked links
that appear to be pages on your website.
Here's an example: Let's say you have an affiliate link that
looks like this www.bobossite.com/?yourID123.
This link would be cloaked, uploaded to your site, and replaced with www.yoursite.com/bobos.html on your web page or in an email, newsletter, etc.
Here's another example: http://hop.clickbank.net/?yourID/dollart would be cloaked, uploaded to your site, and replaced with
www.yoursite.com/dollar.html on your web pages or in
emails, newsletters, etc.
Here is a link to a visual representation that will also help explain at a glance exactly what happens.

The upshot is that you can use it for an unlimited number of links. Just cloak each one, upload the cloaked link page to your site and then, wherever you would normally display a
"naked" affiliate link, display your cloaked link that looks like a
page on your website instead.
<- "TECH" NOTE On CLICKBANK -> It's estimated there are over 100,000 active affiliate programs out on the net.
Some affiliate programs, like ClickBank, will occasionally change the mechanics of their systems.
Right now ClickBank will throw off the cloaked link once the surfer get to the
affiliate's website, but by then your cookie and other tracking mechanisms are
already set... so you're protected!
What happens is they book mark the page you cloak and upload to your site.
So if you want to cloak http://store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/clink?herbal-remedies-usa+7C7YE9+nsearch.html
The link you would give them would be something like www.yourwebsite.com/herbal.html
In 99% of the cases they would bookmark what looks like a page on your website and when they come back they simply reactivate your affiliate link when they hit the cloaked page.
The reason I say 99% is that nothing is 100%. If a merchant had some weird code in their html that blows off a frames page on the website then your affiliate link would be set for that visit, but then
there is a possibility the visitor could bookmark the merchant's site directly... but this is
certainly the exception and not the rule.
BUT, regardless of how slim the chances of that happening, if the site uses cookies then your affiliate tracking cookie for that affiliate program should be set and you should still get the commission if they come back and purchase before the cookie gets erased or expires in the buyer's browser... even if they do bookmark the merchant's site directly.
Will Affiliate Link Cloaker work with FrontPage?
You'll need to get your FTP information from your website and use that to upload using the Affiliate Link Cloaker. You could use FrontPage, but it will take a lot longer to upload the individual pages that way. If you REALLY want to use FrontPage then you should save each cloaked page into your FrontPage web.
You may have to import the cloaked pages with FrontPage in order to see it in your FrontPage "web". Once FrontPage sees the page in your web then you should just be able to upload the normal way and FrontPage will see the new page and upload it along with any changes to other pages.
Look at the email you got when you signed up with your web host and they should have given you an ftp address, user name, password and a directory to upload to. If you can't find it then contact your web host, I'm positive they will give you the information. Direct FTP to your website through the Affiliate Link Cloaker is a lot easier than using FrontPage to do it.
You can use it with as many links on as many websites as you want. If you have 200 links you can cloak each one and upload the cloaked link to one website. You only need one website you can upload the cloaked links to in order to use Affiliate Link Cloaker... though you can use it with as many web hosting accounts as you like.
Do I really need Affiliate Link Cloaker?
The Affiliate Link Cloaker is an absolute necessity if you are going to promote other people's affiliate programs. It will help you avoid having the links you use to make money selling other people's products either hijacked or bypassed by other people. It helps you get paid!
Is Affiliate Link Cloaker 100% "bullet-proof"?
Affiliate Link Cloaker is virtually bullet-proof against hijacking and bypassing with affiliate programs that use more traditional affiliate links like http://www.merchantsite.com/?your-ID123.
With ClickBank -- which is, by the way, the worst "offender" as far as letting others hijack you -- using ALC is much, MUCH better than not using anything at all - but it's not perfect (no solution with ClickBank is 100%, but ours is the best on the market).
Nobody can defend against someone who will go to any lengths and is bound and determined to steal your commission as a discount or just cut you out altogether for whatever reason. This is the same as the professional car thief who is determined to steal your car no matter how many alarms you have on it.
That's why we say right on the website that Affiliate Link
Cloaker is NOT a 100% solution, but our tests show it stops about 80% when
dealing with ClickBank... AND, using the Affiliate Link Cloaker with ClickBank is much better and easier than using:
1. Java redirect pages that ultimately show the link
2. "Invisible" or "Zero" Frame pages w/OUT url scramble
3. Java codes that don't always work
4. Sending a naked affiliate link
5. Subscription services that charge every year for flimsy "invisible" frames in sub-domains
6. Copy and paste codes that most people who don't have a thorough understanding of HTML can't use.
7. Expensive CGI scripts most people can't install and can't use on more than one domain
Nothing is 100% "bullet-proof" in every single scenario and the "techies" will always figure out how to poke a hole in something... but, again, we're trying to improve your odds of getting your commission... and the Affiliate Link Cloaker is proven to do so.
